Of course not, it's not a PA car, IF the Seller is the rightful Owner They would have to produce the documentation...period.I went to the local Tag & Title this morning. There is no way to get a replacement title in PA. The seller in NY would have to get the title, then PA could transfer it to me.
I'm walking away. I committed to buying it so I hope there are no hard feelings.
A bonded title means your title is supported by a surety bond. You typically need this bond, often called a lost title bond, before the DMV will issue the bonded title. The bond acts as protection for anyone who might later claim they’re the rightful owner. What is a bonded title?
Notarized Bill of Sale? WTF? There has to be a usually accepted proof of ownership to even get it back on the road in His name, correct? You can't possibly be the first Pennsylvanian to purchase a non-registered car from NY.The seller says he would have to put it back on the road to get a title in NY. He is not doing that. He wants $5,500 for it. If I could get a title for it I would buy it.
