what manifolds will fit a 71 duster with a 318 in it? i can get a set of 74 challenger 318 manifolds for free. will they work?
I don't think the driver's side will fit. I'm not 100% sure, though.what manifolds will fit a 71 duster with a 318 in it? i can get a set of 74 challenger 318 manifolds for free. will they work?

The E body 340 manifolds fit? I wasn't aware of that. The driver's side is slap different.its weird the same 340 manifolds fit. you would think the 318 would too.. i just don't know though.

Nope. What does yours look like? If it's a bonafide E body, it dumps in the rear. The A body has that kinda snakey outlet that dodges the steering column.****, i don't know. i thought the a and e body 340 manifolds were the same.. i don't remember now..lol
Yup. A body. If those fit the E bodies too, it's news to me.these say they do. maybe the 318 is different.
MRE - 340 Exhaust Manifold Set
Fits: 68-70 340
340 Exhaust manifolds PN#2863549 and PN#2863553
Used on 68-70 A-BODY and 70 E-BODY cars with 340 engine

If they look like that you are good to go, but by 74 I think they changed. Not to worry, as a friend of mine used to say "if they are free, they're for me". I'll look up the casting numbers for a 74 Challenger a bit later.these also say they fit both too.. these are whats on the dart..

340 T/A and AAR cars in 1970 have the same manifolds as the 68-70 340 a-bodies. All other e-body 318 340 and 360 cars the drivers side is different****, i don't know. i thought the a and e body 340 manifolds were the same.. i don't remember now..lol
In short, you want a 1967 to 1974 A body 273 or 318 drivers side manifold. The earlier the cleaner. On the passenger side most any 273 or 318 center dump exhaust manifold will work. I assume you want to run the factory exhaust to start. This leaves out all 340/360 exhaust manifold, unless you run the rest of the 340 exhaust system.
The 70 model 340 four barrel cars also had the 340 HP manifolds like used on TA & AAR's and in A bodies. In 71, they went to the rear dump drivers side manifold on the 340 cars and retained the rear dump drivers side 318 manifold throughout the E body run. Also starting in 71 on 340 E bodies, they used a center dump passenger side manifold with a 2.25 flange.340 T/A and AAR cars in 1970 have the same manifolds as the 68-70 340 a-bodies. All other e-body 318 340 and 360 cars the drivers side is different
