i decided on a cheaper alternative for my big wheel fetish. i was looking for a set of 17x9 cobra R's and then a buddy told me he had two black bullitt wheels off his 'stang. well,i ended up buying them! hell of a deal on them too! i do tool and die work,so i have to make a couple spacers for them to fit right. no big deal. the pics were taken with my phone so kinda crappy and got as much weight on them as i could so it looked right. watcha guys think?!

LOL! front and rear 17x9. i need about a 1" spacer on the back to get them out to look right, but i only really need about 1/4" to clear the rear springs. i need about 3/8" on the front to clear the tierod end. 10-4 on the disk brake rear! in the works!

I run 17x8 bullitt wheels on my 68 Valiant & I love them (cheap & lighter than steelies) I run a 3/8" spacer on the front with no clearance issues & I installed a 67 B-body 8 3/4" rear with no spacer. I did have to clearance the rear hub center to clear the axle registers.About an 1/8" with a die grinder. I run P245/45ZR17 all around.

I told you those would fit. Good job!! Theres are good selection of repro's too that have slightly different style lips and some have a big center register to clear the Mopar grease cap. Lots of tire choices on that rim/tire size too.

Are those 275/40/17 on all 4 corners? :-D

What were the tires and rim specs you were running before for comparison?

I can't remember your particulars, but are your rear spring moved in allready and didn't you have the bottom front fender lip allready trimmed back??

They look really good and when theres a deal invloved that saves some $ it just makes it that much better!!

Ramcharged, never seen a photo of your car before. I like the mirrors. What kind are they. I have two different ones I picked of at swap meets over the years. One is all stainless with stainless base and pretty light. Other is chrome that looks better but is heavier.

yes you did! and thanks! these fit over the front hubs fine, just need spaced. my old wheels and tires are 15x7 cop wheels, but i can't remember the tire sizes! my rear springs are factory position and i had the fenders cut when i had the body work done. with it dropped 2" the 15" cop wheels even hit! i just need two more!!

They look good man, nice choice. Glad they arent some big ugly hunka chrome stuffs.... haha

Autoxcuda,

I got them from a european import store locally. About $80.00 each.
the bases are cast, the bullitts are plastic, & the mirror rings are steel all chromed.Wanted that kind of euro racer look.

looks good. i keep thinking of throwing a set of those on the wifes 74 duster. you running a stock width a body rear?

They look very nice and not out of place like a lot of big wheels I see on some cars.

thanks my man! thats what i thought as well. i was going to score a set of rocket wheels new booster wheel in 17 and 18's,but these were cheaper. still eyeing them though!

ramcharged, what size tire you running? wreacks what is your suspension setup?

i am running 2" drop fatman spindles,QA1 adjustable shock,1 1/4 firm feel bar up front. rear is 2" lowering blocks, adjustable QA1 shocks, soon to be added 3/4 rear swaybar. setup seems to be working very well! oh! most important part, weld in subframes, unbelievable difference!

well,i got my spacers made at work today. went 3/8 front and rear just to get them on,but now i have to install new studs front and rear!! the wheels being alot thinker plus the spacers put the the lugs with one thread! hopefully when i am off next week i can get them in and try them out! i got two more wheels from american muscle so i need two more tires also,no biggie.
