Man cant think of the title but Dennis Weaver had scamp or swinger and a tanker truck was trying to get him that was a cool movie. How about Macon County 69 Charger that it ended when they hit a trane .Cool topic.

I forgot about The Wraith with Charlie Sheen had the Chrysler concept the M4S and a couple of Daytonas and a 65 Barracuda

The new Gone in 60 Seconds... Hemi Cuda, and for one brief shot, and b5 blue Superbird ...

Dukes of Hazzard, Daisy had a yellow Roadrunner.. dont remember the year.. it was 71 or later...

the 1st Fast And The Furious, and the last one.. 70 Charger..

The Fast and The Furious, Tokyo Drift, Dom shows up in the last 30 seconds of the movie in what appears to be either a 70 Roadrunner or GTX..

the movie was duel and it was a red plymouth valiant good movie saw it a couple of times on tv

Duel was such an awsome movie... That was a 69 Valiant.. New model for the year that movie was filmed.. loved the part where he pulls into some out in the middle of nowhere gas station.. old lady tells him he needs a radiator hose replaced.. she goes in, comes out w/ one while he's on the pay phone, and changes it... LOL .. what are the odds some small gas station will have parts for a car that JUST came out.. LOL

I believe duel was spielbergs first movie. It was so poorly done if you watch closely the car keeps changing color for the in the car shots.

uuummmmmm no and the remake of gone in 60 seconds sucked dog balls as well :angry7: Good car movies are dead, thank got for bit torrents :snakeman:

I actually liked them... to me they were good, totally unrealistic, mindless entertainment movies, with cool cars and pretty girls.. My life is realistic and stressfull enough, so I enjoy these types of flicks... besides.. after they're over I alway have this urge to jump in the Dart and raise holy hell!! LMAO

Yeah I agree they are cheesy but everytime I watch one it gets me fired up about workin on the Duster.

I remember when the first one came out me and some buddies went to go see it, laughed at the screen, made fun of all the BS in the movie, went out to the parking lot and every single dumbass white boy driving their mommies Honda wanted to race us.

I had a 73 Scamp with a 360 and 3" sidepipes, my buddy had a 64 Impala SS, his older brother had his 69 Chevelle with a 396 and their younger brother had a 70 Chevy pick up with a 383.

I love the one line in the first movie "With a little tuning you'll have yourself a 9 second car"......LOL not with a full interior, all that stereo crap in your trunk, no cage and not driving around town on those tires!

I can see your point about enjoying them because they are totally fake and retarded but it gets to a point where I just get pissed off at the movie because there is so much miss information in the movie and it will make every dumbass with a import that doesn't know any better or is too stupid to realize that he doesn't drive fast enough to make that dumb wing on the back of his car useful even if he did know how to properly degree it think that he lives his life a quarter mile at a time.

Cheesy is a good description.. but thats the kind of movies that help me unwind.. but I agree.. everytime I watch one, I want to go do something with the Dart.. usually see if can push the gas pedal through the floor LOL ... The car scenes in the Bourne movies make me feel like that as well (though theres no muscle car action there.. the chases are still cool)

I can see your points.. and they're good ones.. Guess I am just lucky that I am old enough and smart enough to realize all the stuff thats hollywood, and how much is just rediculously impossible, and unrealistic in these movies, to just enjoy the mindlessness of them.. But I agree all the tuner kids think they're just gonna jump in their half assed rice burners and recreate the scenes in the movies.. hey.. thats what it is to be young, inexperienced and stupid.. we were all there at one point.. (more or less) .. I always call those kids the 'fast and funniest' people.. that and that giant fart can they all stick on the end of the exhaust.. lol.. I cant stand that sound.. Oh well.. not trying to rant.. just saying I enjoyed the flicks.. as unrealistic as they may be..

Hot Rod 1979

Wish I could find that movie. Was it a belvedere at the begining that got wrecked then they put the engine in a willys? Also Don't forget about 2 lane black top. Lots of sweet racing and cars in that movie, specially the begining when the 55 loses to a plymouth with a hemi and a torqflight.
