Hey everyone! Since I hadn't yet put up any pics of the old Val I decided to today. This car was bought in Australia and went back to Cape Town, South Africa with me for about 3 years, then back to Sydney where it lived in the salt near Bondi Beach. That was a mistake! So she's getting cleaned up slowly but luckily there is minimal rust (rear windscreen basically). Once the paint and bog came off I realized that she was only wearing make-up as she has dents everywhere and even a tear that's been spot welded up on the frnt left guard. One day!

Totally awesome car. You guys over there had some of the sexiest automotive designs around. Congratulations on owning one of them.

I tried my hand at this too even though it's not a Mopar, but also Aussie-73 Falcon GT replica. I had the idea of restoring cars. That didn't work out well :

Sorry, it's taken me a while to discover this thread about the Aussie Charger, but couldn't resist it. Yep, on my hols from London spotted this absolute gem just around the back of properties fronting onto Bondi Beach (that was 2 years ago). It was like discovering the Golden Fleece. Made my day on Bondi...

Hope she's still around and the repair work - if there was any - is going ok.

that charger is f'n sweet...those seats look pretty comfortable also. Just one question....What bolt is big enough on that car that you would need a huge crecent wrench?? ha jk (second pic)

i wonder if there are any of those that anyone imported to the states. i would love to have one here.
 
Aaron,there is a guy over at moparts that imports those Aussie Chargers. I think it would be pricey,but start saving as they are way cool cars! I'd LOVE to have one with the straight six Hemi. They sound like angry hornets!

Hey Nemesis,

I'm all the way in sweltering Sydney-41 degrees today. The Charger is in pieces. I'm going to respray it and have torn everything out. Was just in Melbourne a month ago. What a cool cool city. In regards to the XB-I bought it from this schmuck who had it on ebay. Like a total fool I took his word (and his photos) that there was no rust-bought it for 11K. Sold for 14K. 7K worth of rust plus he ripped me by not sending the 351 with th ecar as it "broke" when his mate and he were hoisting it. He drove me round the bend.
He is omnisanga on youtube. total A-hole.
Don't you think it's weird how a crappy xb coupe sells for more than our rare Chargers?

I find it funny how 7 years ago i went to buy a xw gs for 5 grand
an it was pretty mint,it sold on me
though.... Now there worth like 30 plus,crazy lol.
Even our chargers,if you bought em a while ago,man have they
gone up....
I laugh at what mine is worth now lol.
