momoparman, what is that your parked on in your sig pic?
No...do you read...I did a lot of the resto and mods and most of the assembly but save the paint and bodywork for the pros...and I make no assumptions other than some have $$ to blow and some don't. That's a fact jack.
Cost is not for the original paint but for the repair.....I have never mentioned what I have in this car so put down the blunt and re-read if you wish.
Why does there always have to be some cornshucker chiming in?
That's what is ruining this site....stay out if you want to hate losers.

That is one sweet lookin truck!! What year is that?? Looks like 58 or 59, but the grill is different. My dads got a 58 fleetside almost identical...dont see them too often I'll shoot you some pics. Tell more about it.
Oh yeah the scratch....so it was your own fault?? Pulling it into the garage?? Holy, I'd hate to think what you would do if the kids rubbed against it or the dog waggin his tail hit it. I want my car to look awesome too, but like numerous people have said even trailering it you are gonna get chips. And you were the one that started the post about the price, and basically looking for advice, so I think you arrogance is showin jussst a little bit!! Nice car tho!!
My brother got done with my dads truck on a Sunday, he picked it up on Monday. Tuesday he is trying to get it out of the gate to bing it to me so I can get it to run. It would not idle. He is trying to keep it running while pulling it out and gets it slightly cocked. Clips the drivers side front bumper on the house and catches the gate post inn the middle of the passengers door and puts a 3" scratch direct center. I don't know who was more upset Dad or my brother. Bite the bullet, get it fixed and go on with you life. You can't worry about every little thing that can happen. You trailer it and a piece of debris off the road kicks up and lands in the middle of the hood. Crap happens.
What year is it?
Simon, Is that you? Momoparman is in to oil futures, so not only is he driving up our insurance rates, he is driving up the cost of everything. That car should not be a trailer queen. Get the paint fixed, the overdrive working, the A/C working, the dash lights correct, the oil to stop leaking, the gauges working, and run a mid 12, then it may need to be a trailer queen. JK
Someone else coined the 100-point car (I don't know what that is or where to go to get judged like that) so read the thread more carefully.

Having a near 100-point show car does not suck...it's awesome.

And yes...it is almost a 100 point car so don't you think I should try to preserve that?
Seems like you need to re-read your own posts before getting down on others...
Nice car. $5800 in damage? No way. I don't know where you're located, but if you are anywhere near Mundelion, IL go to Ron's shop: www.rmrestoration.com if you're close to Arizona, go to Brandon's shop: www.brandysautobody.com you'll have to forgive his lousy photos he's a restoration expert, not a photographer.
Sounds like whoever quoted you $5800 knows you have money and is willing to take advantage of that. No need to over spend to get it fixed right.
I started the 100 point car comment,.
