My favorite A-Body car ever! The main reason I got interested in Mopars in the first place...Seeing this car tear up the D6/D7 tracks in the early 2000s was awesome. I still remember the first 8.60 pass in 2001 at the Mission Divisional. Hasn't been raced lately as Harry Holton hasn't been in the HEMI business for a few years. Rumor is that this car is just sitting in the trailer in Ogburn's garage.

Have ya ever noticed Mopars have a balance problem? Seems like every picture has the wheels in the air - they must all be rear end heavy or sumptin'

hi, not rear end heavy, sorry!! its the correct suspension set up. a calvert bar with 6 cyl t-bars, proper shocks, front and rear, and convertor or clutch will produce wheel stands. all done on 9" tires. just food for thought.

Now we're talking! SS/AH is my favorite!

Bucky Hess is the man!

His new car, and his old car.

That black and blue demon of don carlton was bought by a girl i was working for in 72. I worked in his shop for a month setting it up for her and then brought it to texas for a paint job then down to gainsville for the winter nats. Second trip was a texas pro stock race in tyler, texas wher when she cleared the stands a cross wind blew her of the track and that was the end of that car and my racing days. The engine was one borrowed from the motown missle and was sold for salvage parts.
