I appreciate the words of encouragement I usually don’t weigh in when people say that because either way it’s my car and I’ll do what I want with it and half the time they assume I’m going to do the worst. I’ll admit I’m a young guy but I’m not distasteful and I’m not going to butcher the car I...
Spun a rod bearing on the 340 that’s in the car the current plan is to do a 6.1 or a 6.4 swap and have good internals to add boost later on the car will also be getting a t56 around the same time, spun the bearing last weekend that was no fun
I’ve been looking more at the ms3 gold box but also became aware of the terminator x setup which would you say is an easier setup to run? Also if I plan on running boost in the future would one be better than the other?
How would you compare the Hotwire harness vs the new terminator x stand-alone system? Also how would you go about it if you wanted to run the 6.1 carbed? Would it make it any bit easier or cheaper to get going?
My plan is to swap a 6.1 hemi as minimalistly as possible then when money is available do a front and rear end conversion with the RMS stuff, what all would I need to go from my 340/A833 to a 6.1/A833 and be running and driving. I was looking at some of the Mancini swap mounts have many of you...
Hi looking to upgrade from my carter 1406 600cfm carburetor, looking to gain as much power as I can for the 340, was told different things by different mechanics so wanted to get more opinions, one recomended going straight to the 750 for a noticeable difference not sure if he meant a double...
How would you build the 340 to handle boost? And stay reliable? I feel like if I kept it under 10lbs it would be a sweet combo that would get the job done
A lot of great information coming from this thread and I think I’ve come to my conclusion of what’s going to happen, it seems regardless of how I want to reach my goals it’s going to take minimum 10-15k to do it, I think I might go for a new engine and pick up a gen 3 hemi down the line and run...
I’ll definitely go for forged internals and look at the h beam rods I want the build to last and not go boom after a couple of passes rather over build the motor than cheap out where it counts
