    Oil pump drive ???

That's funny, My son and I are going through the same thing on one of his costumers cars. It's a 351 Cleveland, two Holley Sniper distributors, one drops all the way in no problem. The other doesn't even make it to the o-ring seal before it locks up. Every thing measures the same on both of...

Extremely Dissapointed in my TTI exhaust and headers maybe someone can help with my fitment issues and provide some guidance

I have the 3 inch TTI tail pipes on my 66 Dart with the springs move up against the frame rails and a Dana 60 that takes up even more space. I had to bend the corner flange of the gas tank on passenger side up and out of the way. I also had to move the j-bolt for the gas tank strap from the...

    Clutch pedal return ??

Okay this is what I have found with both a Lakewood and Quick Time bellhousings, go under the car and see if the clutch fork has bottomed out on the bearing retainer before the peddle reaches the top of its travel and the clutch linkage has to pivot and pull away from the fork to take up the...

Here you go Newbomb Turk, This is my quickest carb set up that I have tried so far. There isn't a circuit in this 8896 1050 that hasn't been drilled and tapped and had a redrilled brass set screw installed. So it will drive on the street as well as it runs at the track.

    Winter water removal

Pull the drain plugs out of each side of the block and put radiator petcock with the same pipe thread back in the block. Then the next time you have to drain it, you just open up the 3 petcocks, the one in the radiator and the two in the block.

    Hp70/Hp90 swap

The HP70 and HP90 are the 8spd auto transmissions that are in the new Dodge trucks and cars since 2014 for trucks 2015 for cars. ( the HP70 comes behind the 5.7 and 6.4 and the HP90 comes behind the 6.2 supercharged engines) From what I have heard there is two outfits that are making stand alone...

Response to UTG and the comment section on Piston Knurling ‪@UncleTonysGarage‬

Newbomb Turk, What it all came down to is UTG put out a video about an article that Smokey Yunick wrote about knurling piston skirts to free up horse power. But UTG said in the video that he has never done the piston knurling thing, but Smokey said it worked. So all the UTG haters came out in...

BB Valiant Suspension Setup for Drag

I have to edit my post, in the one sentence i meant to say the Cal-Trac bars are in the top hole not the springs. The Dart is not tubbed, the spring were moved the 1/2 to 5/8 inches over against the stock frame rails. I get about 1 1/2 to 2 inches of rise out of the rear suspension at the hit...

BB Valiant Suspension Setup for Drag

My first thought is to get rid of that CenterForce clutch ( they are only good for one thing breaking driveline parts) or at least the disc and put a rag disc (organic disc) in the car and a Clutch Tamer or a Soft-Loc clutch( adjustable slipper clutch). Either one will soften the hit and keep...

7.25 axel new pinion bearings set up

I don't know about the 7 1/4 rear axles after 1970. But the 1969 and back I do know use a shim pack to set the pinion bearing preload, and that's why it is calling for 240 lbs/ft to set the preload on the bearings to 15 to 25 lbs/inch. Just like the 8 3/4, the 741 and 742 cases used shim...

    A833 18 spline 4 speed crash box.

I just remembered, with the Quick Time I had to buy an extra block plate an cut the center out of it, to space the bell out enough for the swing on the counter weighted levers on the pressure plate.

    A833 18 spline 4 speed crash box.

The Quick Time was a lot better, I bought the Mopar dowel pins with the three sizes .007 .014 and .021 and dialed in with the .007 dowels, if I remember correctly it was just to limit of what is usable and I dialed it to as close to zero as I could get it.
