Not sure of the exact tire size on the old car, but I know the tires were comparable to what is on the Duster now. If there is slippage, would it be in the trans or converter? Any way to eliminate one or the other?

Tire size is 215/70/14. Height of tire is 25.25". Speedo gear is yellow-not sure of the teeth but I used the charts corresponding tire size to gear ratio to select the pinion. Trans shifts up to 3rd gear.

Hey all, Can leaf spring bushings be bought separately, or do you have to buy new springs? My rear bushings at the rear of the leaves are shot. Any info greatly appreciated. Car is 70 Duster 340

Hey all, I have a 70 Duster 340 auto with 3.23 rear sure grip. At 60mph, the tach reads 3500 rpm. This seems high to me as I used to have a Dart w/340 and 904 auto and 3.23 sure grip and it would rev at 2800 rpm at 60mph. Could the 3rd gear ratios in the trans be that much different between the...

Hey there, My car is a 1970 Duster 340 auto with 8 3/4 diff. I need to replace the pinion seal and the parts guy at the local parts store says there are 2 seals available depending on wether the diff case is a 489 or 741. I checked my case and it is a 742. What seal do I use? Any ideas?

Does anyone know what style of fan clutch came stock on a 70 Duster 340 no a/c? Was it thermal or torque drive(non-thermal)? I suspect it was a non-thermal style but want to know if this is true before trying to locate one.

Did all 340 Dusters come with manual ft disc brakes in 1970 as standard equipment?

Would '73 & up have the big bolt pattern wheels? Would rotors be the same as '70 ones?

Car has Mopar electronic ignition w orange box. Tach was rebuilt and supposedly tested just before installing cluster. if you disconnect tach wire at coil eng will start & run. Traced tach wire from coil to gauge and didn't see any issues(shorts). Do you know where the tach red wire at gauge...

Took my gauge cluster out and spun the speedo with a drill-the needle still bounced around like it did when in the car. Guess ill need to see about another speedo
