Add RWD and this will be a nasty combination. I hope somebody can pull this off, it would be a sweet ride and economical to drive depending on how modified the motor is.
THis thread has me looking at my '73 dart and my '86 Daytona funny haha. Magnum 318 in the daytona and 2.2 turbo in the Dart? 8)
They are real close, and few people have made them work with slight modification to the starter and drilling a bolt whole in the bell housing to match the 2.4.
I heard about the adapter plate for the 2.4 to 904 but not sure if anyone is going to build one or not. I know the turbododge guys are trying to get a someone to make it....

I know this is a old thread, but I wanted to update the status so others will know.
I currently have the magnum 318 in with a LA timing cover and cam extension on the stock cam so I can run the mechanical fuel pump. I used LA front accessories and a LA 360 oil pan for a car ( center hump )...
okay, cool. I have a dial back light, but his was not. So I will check it again like you said and if it comes out really low again, I'll tell to him recurve it.

I have a question about 440 timing... I have a friend with a 440 and the book he has (stock mopar book) says 10°-12° at 2200 rpm although everyone else says run 34°-36° total timing, that mark is not even on his timing cover. All I know is I set it at 12° at 2200rpm, idle ends up being 0°. His...
