  • Awesome Dart! I have a question about your piston selection. I'm building a 4.5" bore gen 2 hemi and using Edelbrock heads as well. I plan to use a Molnar 4.250" crankshaft, but I am not sure what piston will work best with the Edelbrock combustion chamber. Can you give a recommendation? I'm also looking for about 11:1 static compression.

    I used CP pistons. With the big bore and stroke it’s not going to take much dome to get 11:1 so probably about any piston would work. Best machine uses the Vic jr heads on quite a few builds and they use CP as well. That’s what biased my decision.
    Thanks man. I've had the Barracuda for 9 years now. I enjoyed the 340, but always yearned for the power that only a big stroker can provide. I look forward to running it down the 1320!

    I run a port / gasket matched TM6 on my 512 low deck stroker. I use the Trickflow 240 heads and a hydraulic roller cam with 254 duration @ .050 and 618 lift in my 4 speed '68 Barracuda. My decision to run the TM6 was influenced by your posts regarding your Roadrunner running such. Hopefully my Barracuda can run similar to your Roadrunner. Check out my garage.

    Nice Barracuda! I sure wish I would have kept mine. Sounds like you built a good combo, should run strong!
    I have a 540 Hemi Dart and noticed in your pics that you are running a small radiator and mechanical fan, any over heating problems??? What temp does yours run at water, oil, etc??? Thanks, John
