    TTI headers

I just got done installing the 2.5" H-pipe setup on my dart to TTI headers. Very nice quality and only minor cutting needed. Yes it was a bit expensive, $540 plus shipping with using my own mufflers, but I feel it was worth it.

    340 heartache

X2 This sounds EXACTLY how the 360 in my car was running the first week I got it running. It ran good for break in, but trying to drive it it would only run if I two-footed it. It was a dog. Fuel pressure, oil pressure, timing from with a timing light were all right on, and I was using a carb...

    bypassing heater hoses

The whole heater box has been removed. I cut a piece of aluminum sheet metal to fit neatly on the firewall and painted it. My MSD ignition is mounted under the dash where the heater box was. It is attached to the firewall to the sheet metal I put on. If you are leaving the heater box in place...

    bypassing heater hoses

Here are the pics of my water pump. Orange one is currently on the car and the bare alum water pump shows the threads from an old pump I had laying around. It is a 1/4" pipe thread plug, and I think I was able to just tap the existing hole without drilling bigger, but not positive on that. Just...

    bypassing heater hoses

That's what I did. But as stated-be careful when tapping the water pump nipple as it is very thin and will split easily. I tapped just a little at a time and kept testing the plug until it was where I wanted it.

    stupid idler arm

I just put a new moog idler arm on my dart. Did you put the washers on the top and bottom of the idler arm, or just put the arm in and tighten the bolt up? The washers have an I.D. just big enough so they fit over the sleeve, effectively making the idler arm so it fits tight in the mounting...

    Help me pick a carb!`

I know you said you didn't want to hear about carbs not listed in your original post, but I agree with mopardrt- I also have a Holley 670 street avenger and love it. I bought mine on ebay. It's a factory refurbished unit direct from Holley(seller id: holleyperformance). And the best part is it...

    Unlimited fibreglass hoods ?

Had two friends that had unlimited hoods-both were very bad. One was bowed so bad that the hood never sat flat, it was up 1/2" in the middle. The other friend's hood was 5/8" too short front to back on ONE side. Unlimited ended up replacing it, but it was bowed real bad too. In Unlimited's...

How much is a running 360 engine worth ?

When I was looking for one about 3 years ago they all seemed to be in the $250-600 range around south east WI. After watching craigslist for a couple weeks I ended up buying a complete low mileage 360 with transmission from a running '77 charger for $450. Then I sold the trans and all the...

(Not a A-Body) 2001 Dodge Ram Truck "No bus" Code, Anyone!?

I had a 2000 Ram that out of nowhere developed an intermittent "no bus" on the gauge cluster when I hit bumps. The truck would stutter or die when it happened. I found it to be a group of ground wires bolted to the front of the drivers side cylinder head that the bolt had come loose and the...

    Dart Painted bumpers

Like others have said, go with an aluminum color rather than body color. I think if you painted them body color it would look too much like something from the 80's. I have fiberglass bumpers and had a friend that worked at a Subaru dealer spray them with some leftover silver from one of the...

    Throttle pedal/cable woes

When I needed more throttle pull I used a tubing cutter and tin snips to carefully shorten the shielding on the end of the cable on the carb end so it wouldn't bottom out against the bracket or the shielding that is mounted in the bracket. I also have that same bracket and when I had my M1 I...

    Thermostat housing seeping...

Me too. I use to get seeping whenever I used a gasket, no matter how clean the surface or what color RTV I used. Got rid of the gasket and used a small bead of RTV and have not had a drop since.

    Addco front swabar

Those are what I used. They worked good, but I still had to modify them slightly to get a better angle at the end links to work with my factory swaybar mounting tabs on the control arms.
