I Need Help Diagnosing A Steering Issue I'm Having

Thanks. I'm going to check the belt tension and adjust the pump mount if it does seem too slack. I'll clean the belt with some alcohol for good measure. I don't "think" that I damaged the pump lines as I only loosened the hose clamps enough to remove them from the pump, but I'll give them a...

I Need Help Diagnosing A Steering Issue I'm Having

I just finished installing a new aluminum radiator in my 72 demon. While removing the old radiator I accidentally broke a transmission cooler line. While replacing the new radiator and new transmission cooler lines I removed the power steering pump to give me more room to work the new cooler...

    Refurbishing my non-rallye instrument cluster

Sheesh, I replied this morning but apparently it didn't take. Anyways, I'm adding some update photos of my refurbish project. First was taken after I had masked and sprayed matte black around the trim, the underside and the speedo window. Second shows the new white gauges which were super easy...

    Refurbishing my non-rallye instrument cluster

Thanks for the advice, I've purchased replacement LED bulbs to brighten up my display because it was REAL bad beforehand and my gauge kit should arrive today (crossing fingers). Shadow 21 your finished product looks AWESOME, I pray that mine turns out looking as nice. As for the chrome trim...

    Refurbishing my non-rallye instrument cluster

I am attempting a DIY instrument refurbish project. I purchased white vinyl gauge stickers from http://www.whitegauges.net as well as upgraded white LED instrument cluster lights and plastic lens polish to try and make everything clean and "new" again. The wood grain is in really good shape...

Ignition Issues - Car Won't Start Intermittently

Alright, it's been a while, life has gotten in the way (new kid and a cross country move from NY to GA) but as life has started to settle down I've had some time to investigate this ignition issue a little more. The last thing I did was jumper from the brown wire connected to the starter relay...

    Looking For Auto Transport Referrals

I recently moved from Upstate New York to Atlanta, GA and need to have my Demon shipping. The best quote I've received so far is $800 from T&J Auto Transport. My demon is no trailer queen, I don't mind if it's on an open air trailer, but it is in solid shape so I want it handled properly. My...

Looking for a decent quality dash pad to replace the cracked one currently in my 72 Demon. Preferably dark green, I would like to avoid painting/dying. Not interested in a cap at this time. I know someone out there has one that they're not going to use, just gotta find him/her. PM me with...

Refurbing rear 9" drums on my '72 Demon

When we initially bled the brakes we did it just how the video showed except that we'd pump 3 times then hold. Initially there were some bubbles then no bubbles so we presumed we were good. That was done on just the rears. When car was in drive and brake applied left would stop, right kept on...

Refurbing rear 9" drums on my '72 Demon

Alright, tried bleeding the brakes again this evening. I'm getting drips out of the rear both left and right. Bled the front driver side and it squirts right out. Broke the bleeder valve on the front passenger side so it looks like I'm replacing that wheel cylinder tomorrow (hopefully)...

Refurbing rear 9" drums on my '72 Demon

Yeah, in retrospect I should have done that. I replaced driver side setup first then found the destroyed wheel cylinder when I took apart the passenger side. By the time I'm done I'll probably have taken each side apart about 12 times so I should be pretty quick at it.

Refurbing rear 9" drums on my '72 Demon

The drums were not replaced. I'm attempting to get one more summer (maybe two) out of the 7 1/4" until I can upgrade to an 8 3/4". To add, when I start the car (it's currently on jack stands) and place the car into drive, and then depress the brake, the drivers side rear drum spins a tiny...
