How do u like the converter you have in your truck? The Hughes I think it’s a 24-30. I know everyone says get a custom converter etc….. but for off the shelf what is your opinion of it? Thanks

Why are u against a manual valve body? Im not dead set on it. But if I do keep a regular valve body im definitely going with a different kickdown setup

Welcome to today’s society! If they would punish criminals properly and not promote theft etc…. Theft would still happen but would be way down. Just like in a certain great state it’s only a misdemeanor if it’s under $1000. How bought if u steal a $1.00 u do time on a chain gang. Or if u murder...

Why is it a bad idea? I would rather shift it anyways. And a manual valve body eliminates it.

It kicks down all the way now but there is a delay in it and there is not constant movement with it when u open the throttle. I just want to eliminate and shift it myself. And not have to worry about if the kickdown is working properly. The rod looks bent or something. I just hope the Tranny is ok

I asked about doing a burnout with a manual valve body and not blowing the tranny. My question was answered. Sorry if I have ruffled feathers or something I’m not a expert.

I’m trying to follow advice and asking questions cause I don’t know that’s why I’m asking. The kickdown is all screwed up and I think I just wanna go with a manual valve body

Moved the truck brake pedal was low again. Ran it for a few minutes and when I shut it off I pumped the pedal and I could hear air. Is that a sign of a bad booster????

Truck will be getting newer style Magnum heads and a cam along with headers and the intake swap and carb toward the end of August. I have a guy who is gonna help me and he is doing the heads now. So I’m thinking 350-375 hp depending on cam etc…. He will figure more out for me as we get closer...

And basically then if u have manual valve body and want to do a burnout on a dry pavement not at the strip…… either just stay in first and do it and let off or rip it into 2nd while doing the burnout in first???

Can these be installed with the tranny still in a place? And without a rebuild? What are the differences in these? Sorry for the questions And a good shop or tranny person could probably do this?

Ok can a manual valve body be installed without pulling the tranny and doing a rebuild? The motor is going to have around 375 hp when it’s done. And I will just run the converter that’s in it for now
