    Lesson Learned...

My daily beater….. 96. Also has rough country 3” lift. Front coils sagged so I shoved some spacers in it. Bought it for my daughter’s first car and I adopted it when she left for college. That was a LONG time ago!

    Supporting engine with trans removed

The jack from my 01 Dodge pickup works great for that task. + being a screw type jack no worries of it bleeding down and has a very small foot print.

    Some Serious Small Block Power

Shiloh knew we was taking a spork to a gunfight, but just wanted the SCSN experience. Great launch videos. Leaf spring car on rails! He’ll be back at LVMS in March with the west coast n/a 10.5 group. Crazy to think my R3/W8 is only like .6 slower….. but how much time/$$$/maintenance that .6...

    727 Drum

Only took a ring gear breaking on launch to start the chain of mayhem….. early 90s and we had NO idea this was even a thing. Low 10 street/strip car that had a 300 kit on it that he never even got to use. Needless to say our 727s always had a good drum in them after that.

    clean neutral?

I was fortunate to find a “used” one when a friend bought a ProFlight set up for his Vette. It’s truly a cut above for sure coming from a world of Hurst Promatics and turbo action cheetah shifters.

    clean neutral?

Run a blocked accumulator with that….. my Griner i didn’t have to. When I swapped to the Pro Trans unit, which did require one, and I overlooked that you can imagine all the “fun” i created for myself

    904 race builds

Custom Torque Converters for Drag Racing - Ultimate Converter Concepts Montgomery Ragland took the business over. Haven’t dealt with him on a personal level. On the cost….. it was quite awhile ago and it involved some other hard parts as we had the converter updated to match the W8 mill...

    727 trans break

Ahhhh! Sorry about that, I thought you were questioning “if” it was a trans brake, you want to know what “brand”…. Wouldn’t surprise me if it were an in house build from A1. They have a pedigree in doing some very high end builds. I’m considering sourcing them for a torque converter.

    727 trans break

Solenoid wire should connect to the above mentioned “pass through” fitting. Both of mine are in basically the same spot. Spade connection on the inside of the trans.

    727 trans break

That single back wire most likely leads to the solenoid. Probably similar to the Pro Trans unit on the right in my picture. You should also have that single pin fitting in the case for the electrical (center of pict towards top

    Transact of Indy still going?

Don’t have a picture of the A&A, but Griner on the L, Pro Trans on the right. I know for a fact Pro Trans builds in house as I saw them stacked up being built at their shop when they were in CA.

    904 race builds

I sent my converter back to Ultimate and Lenny (retired) knew exactly what I was in need of and changed the drive hub.

    904 race builds

I prefer the A500 style pump gear. Still hear about cracked converter drive hubs today. 904>727…. Simple mopar math. Run the stock front drum…. Much smaller mass that 727. It’ll be fine. Strut on the kick down band…. They can flex or bend in stock form. Even welding a bolt on the back of it...

    727 trans break

Quite a few brakes use stock components/bodies. Need a better picture.

    Transact of Indy still going?

Wow! 2016 post brought back from the dead. Think I still have the big solenoid that the transact brake takes if someone is in need. 70AARCUDA needed it but his health took a dive before I ever got it to him. Miss that dude. Still have my Pro Trans brake, but it’s in my spare 904. Current...
