727 trans break

Sorry it’s upside down. This is the only number I could find it was built by A1 transmission out of Vancouver. They told me it was their in-house transmission break, but I don’t believe them. Anyone have any information on this transmission brake.
 
trans brakes usually need a solenoid on them. that appears to be a 1970 valve body. does it have a solenoid on it?
 
Quite a few brakes use stock components/bodies. Need a better picture.

That single back wire most likely leads to the solenoid. Probably similar to the Pro Trans unit on the right in my picture. You should also have that single pin fitting in the case for the electrical (center of pict towards top
 
Solenoid wire should connect to the above mentioned “pass through” fitting. Both of mine are in basically the same spot. Spade connection on the inside of the trans.

Ahhhh! Sorry about that, I thought you were questioning “if” it was a trans brake, you want to know what “brand”…. Wouldn’t surprise me if it were an in house build from A1. They have a pedigree in doing some very high end builds. I’m considering sourcing them for a torque converter.
