that's the hi-po model, they can take a lot more abuse !

when you change out water pump's, try to find a hi-po one. a standard pump has a smaller dia: shaft. the h/p bigger dia:.standard looks like tube's on outside of pump , h-p is just fin's.

before you pull the timing chain cover make sure you have a pully -puller for the Crank pully if you can afford it this would be a great time too change the timing chain and gear's good luck and keep us posted on how it goes .. i have built a bunch of 318's if you need to know any thing else...

this guy has never worked on Mopar LA motor's it's the eccentric # ...no rod !!!! i think he is thinking GM

one way to test if the eccentric is bad, after you have removed the pump stick you'er finger or a screw driver in the hole and see if you can jiggle the eccentric a round it should not move at all, over time the mounting hole can get hogged out and they need too be replaced (remove timing chain...

you did not say how many miles the motor has on it ?remove the fuel pump and with a flash light make sure the eccentric is not damage. You may have too remove the timing chain cover to get a better look and replace the eccentric. this is what drives the fuel pump.#

my car is also a 74" 360 but with an 833, 3.23 to 1 is very common in 8.25 mopar rear end's, so if you go junk yard diving that's a good bet. you will get fare gas milage, ok stoplight 2 stoplight and good road trip's *
