The 403 olds was used in California and the 400 in the rest of the states. I believe you can tell the difference on the shaker or the hood. The 403 was listed as T/A 6.6 and the 400 i think was just 6.6 liter. A little research and you can clarify it. I am just going off memory so i could...
Cars can be replaced, lives can not. I am glad they are ok. But on a positive note, atleast the Truck driver will have insureance since im sure the deer did not.
Its sad when some average joe with photoshop can do a better job enginering a concept vehicle than a multi-million dollar designer. That car, especially the sublime AAR version would probably sell like hotcakes. I would beg my wife untill she finaly gave in just to shut me up for one.
Ive got a 72 340 that appears to be stock. It has 2 fuel filters, one just before the fuel pump and one just before the carb. Both filters are the clear type and you can see the filter and fuel. After the car sits for awhile it looks like all the fuel drains back to the tank because there is...

Ill try the filter first for the quick fix, and if that dose not cure it I may just break down and rebuild it now so I can have a better driving experence. It is also hard to start and and has to warm up a bit before it will idle.
Hey, I could use some ideas. I do not have much experience with fuel systems and am haveing some bad bogging problems on take off. I have a bone stock 340 4 barrel and from a dead stop when you stomp it, it boggs then steadily pulls off. I can be at a roll and stomp it and it will bogg, but...
Yeah I was wondering what a /6 with a 4 speed OD and 2.73 gears would do. Maybe lower the chassis put on some ultra light alloys 225 60/15s, slick paint job and see what it would do.
Yeah I'm familier with the feather duster and you can get a slew of imports that get good gas mileage but they are not A-bodies. This is just an idea I've been kicking around and was wondering what others might think.
