I need the rectangle spring for the parking brake strut, the flat bar at the top of the brakes. Any ideas for a source, other than the junk yard. Ordered a drum brake kit and this is the only spring that didn't come with it.

You got me, i was talking about vacuum on the manifold side. I have 18" hg, that is with the muffler bearings not spinning, I have around 10" hg on the timing side. The hose looks reasonable, haven't checked it really well, but what else should i check for problems.

I have barely ant vacuum on the timing side. hose looks good but not positive. any other areas to look at for the lack of vacuum? and should it be the same reading as the other side? 17-18 hg?

Have a 63 valiant with 170 slant 6 and getting about 10 mpg. Anything I can do to increase the mpg? looking for easy and inexpensive fixes.

Replaced the starter in my 63 valiant 170 and now there is a knock when it first starts and then goes away. It has started to knock when sitting at a stop sign and doesn't go away until you start moving. Any ideas? could something have come loose when replacing the starter? was careful to make...

I have a 1963 Valiant 3 speed, on the column, and the speedometer stopped working. Any ideas on where to start looking? I haven't had a chance to get into it but was hoping to have a few "good" ideas when mine run out. Thanks

You wouldn't happen to have screws to hold the dash panel? have some that work that were there when I bought the car but they really aren't the right ones.
