Did the barracuda have sway bars, what rear gearing?

I have a 66 valiant with s modify slant 6, dual one barrels, small cam, dual exhaust, complete suspension rebuild,1.06 torsion bars, front disc conversion and sway bar. Bilstein all around, 2.91 gear ratio, new springs, 205/60 /15 front 245/70 rear . Look for 3.23 gear ratio. My question ...

Went on layson site can't seem to find a filler tube for a 66 Valiant like you discribe.

Yeah I know but if I can find a cheap 7.25 rear with 3.23 it would be the change to see if I like it

I've done the rag and listening thing but don't catch it all the time. Will look into that layson fill tube. Thanks for the info

Ok thanks, the gearing in the car now is 2.91 . Will have to start shopping around.

Did any a body's come with 3.23 gearing? Doesn't have to be a posi. It's a slant 6 car so either a 7.25 or a 8.25 will work fine. If there was what years should I be looking for?

I have a 66 valiant with a gas stain down the rear quarter. Any suggestions on how to stop the gas from over spilling . The gas nozzle seems to trip off just as it spills over. Do I need to modify the vent or maybe the filler tube. Any ideas will help. Tried going really slow but doesn't seem to...

I'll look into proforged parts. As far as leaf springs should I stick with shackles or look into rear sliders?

I am a welder, fabricator by trade so welding up k- frame, lower control arms and frame connectors will not be a issue. When squaring off the wheels you hang plums in all four corners and cross measure ? With suspension under load?

Mattax thanks for the info got some reading to do. I live in New England so the roads here are pretty beat up, so I'll be looking into a little softer setup. If I go with poly setup I need to keep them lubricated? But stock rubber should work fine for me? Any brands recommended for ball joints...
