I believe the switch mounts under the dash, it was similar to the map lamp on the passenger side below the glove box for the 65 SS. I will look for my service manual to see if I have an image.

Gears are based on the transmission side, do you know what size Transmission the cable was removed from. Also I have a 65 and there are two different speedo's that can be in the dash, 80 mph or 120 MPH, so identify both ends may help.

Along the lines of our present discussion, Most of my clips for my 65 barracuda rocker molding trim are still on the car. How do I get the center plug out in order to remove the clips without damaging them. Any ideas, suggestions are greatly appreciated.
