Hey all, looking for a good radiator to fit my 65 dart 270. I've gone through a couple looking for one to fit with no luck. What are you running? It's a 360 swap, needing at least a 3core
Thanks, both of you! Trailbeast I'm not quite sure what the best route for me to go would be. I have the OEM distributor that came with this engine. I just need the proper parts to make it work. I'm kinda flying blind as to what I need at all. This is the first conversion I've done. As for cost...
Just looking for a little help from those who have done it so heres the scoop. I have a 65 dart that i have swapped a 76 360 into and I'm to the point where I'm working on getting it wired up. I want to run an electronic ignition which the engine originally had BUT the dart has the old wiring...
Awesome car! its goo to actually see somebody else with a 4 door HA, im in the middle of restoring one too. 65 dart 270 4 door. i wish mine was in as good of shape to start with! it sat on the edge of the gifford pinchot national forest here in Washington for 20 years! it was a little rough but...
Thanks guys, The 360 is mostly stock, only upgrades are a new edelbrock intake manifold and carb. its also manual steering. but i dont want to choke it down any at all either. i think ill be going with headers once i have the money.
Has anybody done a 318 to 360 swap in a 65 dart? im trying to figure out how to do my exhaust. use my 318 manifolds? get headers? where can i find headers for a 63-66 A-body?
Thanks
Thanks Robert, i have a 65 dart so its an early A. i have the right pan, but i didn't know about the specific pick up. you just saved me a big pain in the a$$ lol. do you have anymore info on that pick up?
according to who i got the motor from (he's a reliable friend and mechanic) it only has 64,*** miles on it. so im guessing its never been replaced.
Thanks
I'm replacing the oil pan on my 360 to fit in my dart. its has the rear pump truck oil pan on it now and i have the new center style oil pan to swap it out with. other than a new pick up do i need to replace the oil pump as well? will i run into any issues or should it be a simple swap?
This is one of the most complete kits i've been able to find for my 65 Dart, and one of the cheapest as far as price goes. They make two different styles, either Race (R) or Street (S) depending on what application you want them for http://www.jegs.com/i/SSBC/884/W153-7R/10002/-1?parentProductId=
the 360 is out of a 70s motor home (64,*** original miles). so yeah it has the big steal mounts, I'm going with the schumacher mounts with the torque straps as suggested. they're priced pretty reasonably. I figured that the manifolds off the 318 would convert to the 360 but am looking to put...
