    My 340 getting 6 mpg

MPG is tough. My right foot dictates. 16 MPG is the best I can get on very modest highway driving. Stockish 440 4-speed B-body running Dana 3.54:1 with talker 28" rear tire. But just a couple fun thumps on the pedal and suddenly drops to high single digits. Or worse if nonsense continues. Lol...

    Crickets chirping...

It's spring. And I'm not sure about everyone else, but I'm already behind schedule. Lol.

    23 or 18 spline?

3rd gear woes for hard street driving I found to typically be the syncro. (At least started.) And it's not just an A833 thing. I believe its because harder de-accel demands are typical in 3rd gear. What I don't know. Is if an 18 spline syncros are any tougher than 23? With Centerforce clutch...

    Disowning Family Members

As many has stated. This story, unfortunately is not unique. It shows that a sound "Will and Testimony" can prevent alot of family discourse. But that is also easier said than done. Real estate is actually the easier part of that process. Investments and personal items can be tricky. Just look...

Fond of A Bodies even though I own a B Body

I've never owned a small block Mopar. Most due to circumstances. But I've been eyeing some as late. I was minutes late on a '67 fastback Baracuda 4-speed with its original 273 commando. I REALLY wanted that car!

Fond of A Bodies even though I own a B Body

Does look nice. But the tool man in me says. "Look at all that room!" Lol.

Yup. Nothing wrong with enjoying its intent.

Fond of A Bodies even though I own a B Body

Purdy. Omaha Orange? For me? The 318 setup makes your car a very good candidate for a Gen III hemi transplant? So may options. So little time. JMO

Fond of A Bodies even though I own a B Body

My current stable is one A-body. One B-body and one E-body. For those looking to enter the Mopar classic car arena for first time? Hands down I recommend A-body. Even though the word is out. And their prices are also rising. They are still best bang for your dollar. Just my 2 cents.

DOES YOUR NEIGHBOR ALWAYS WANT TO BORROW SOMETHING?

I find neighbors much more respectful. It's family/friends. I have a pet peeve about tools. My kids and friends know this. Yet every year I'm missing counts. I'll give my coat I'm wearing to someone who is cold. But leave my tools out of your thoughts. I spent ALOT of money. That others don't...

    My Dad's 67 Satellite- A bittersweet day

That's one of the nicest first Gen Satellites I've seen. Hiding some extra muscle under the hood to boot. Parkinson is one of those unfair diseases to inflict on anyone.

To Sell or Part Out my 68 Formula S Barracuda?

The last car I parted out due to the parts were worth more than the whole was a '66 GTO in 1986. Today? It would be crazy. Today classic pony/muscle cars it's opposite. The whole is worth more than the sum of its parts. I made a whole $1500 profit. Believing I was parts king of the world...

Poll: Do traction bars help out Mopar leaf springs or not

On wheel hop I agree. Which I'm sure springs are not happy when bouncing like that.

Poll: Do traction bars help out Mopar leaf springs or not

Never had on a Mopar. On a Chevy they worked somewhat. But it's old technology. I've done very well with SS springs and a snuber for pinion support on a 10 sec 3000lb Duster. I believe once your build gets into the 9s and faster where chassis certs and licensing becomes more apparent? Then a...
