How did you get the steering box out? I am trying to replace the power steering box in my 67 Cuda but am not sure how to disconnect it from the steering column and then around the headers. I have the 3 bolts out that hold it in place.

How? I thought I had done that but it did not make much difference. Maybe I was turning the wrong screw inside the steering gear box.

Thanks for all the info. I would buy the ebay tire cover but the $31 shipping seems a bit excessive! I'll go to the local Home Depot and buy a board and cut it according to Steve's dimensions. Any imperfections would be covered by the liner anyhow. Looks like I'll have to crawl into the trunk...
