Got everything buttoned back up today with a "repaired" loop on the blower resistor. Did a road test and with temps around 83 it was cool enough in the car. I still am about 12oz low so I expect this will be pretty good this summer, at least on the highway. I somehow lost the little chrome...

Mine had the F8 vinyl top and F8 paint in the interior. I'm thinking about painting my vinyl top area F8. I still have the vinyl top trim installed.
Are you leaving any green paint in the interior and doing black carpet and seats? I saw the steering column case was painted green.
I ended up going with the rubber style expansion plugs. With the motor in the car and working from my back on a creeper I just couldn't get the brass plugs installed. I filled it up with coolant and let it sit for 24 hours to make sure they weren't leaking. I wasn't really worried about that...
Well today was the day. Of not much progress.
Started a little after 9 am and had the transmission loose and slid back by a little after noon. I managed to do it without taking the exhaust down. I may have to loosen the driver side to get everything reinstalled though.
