Fixed! I had to make a tool with a 1/2" open end wrench and an extender to rotate the spring which moved the slotted bracket once I loosened it. I was then able to get a wrench on the adjusting bolt and then lock it back down. The trunk stays open now on its own. If I had taken the inside...
I've got a 68 fastback and the trunk doesn't want to stay open unless the car parked on a perfectly flat spot or on a slight downhill slope. I have to use a stick to prop it open. I read in the 68 Plymouth shop manual that the trunk recoil springs and hinges can be adjusted on the fastbacks...
There is a small metal clip that sits in the hole in the leading edge of fender that the headlight bucket uses as an attachment point on 67-68 barracudas. I'm looking for 2 of those. I've attached a picture of a headlight bucket showing the location of the hole the clip would sit behind...
Hi, I see you're in VA. I'm in Deale, MD. It might be better to meet somewhere half way. I boxed everything up and went to the post office this morning and to ship it to Portsmouth would about $100 because it all weights about 125 lbs. I would be willing to drive over to Port Royal on the...
My trunk on my 68 Barracuda will not stay open on it's own. I changed the rear trim to the heavier stainless steel variety and the extra weight over the stock aluminum trim is just enough to make the trunk not stay open. I have to prop it open and that's a PITA. Is there a way to adjust the...
I'm selling a complete A-body 73 and up disk brake setup. This includes the spindles, ball joints, disks, calipers, pads, and upper control arms. I just took these off my 68 Barracuda to convert to a racing setup. The bearings, bushings, and ball joints have just a few hundred miles on them. The...
I have the top and bottom trunk trim pieces for a 1968 Barracuda and most of the mounting clips. These are decent pieces with the typical wear expected on 50 year old parts. They have a few imperfections but I think they looked good on my car. $275 + shipping from 20733 (I accept paypal)...
I figured it out and got it working. In the original post, I didn't mention I was using a Kwikwire harness because I didn't want to make it any more confusing than it already was. I went back and studied 1968 wiring diagram and the Kwikwire instructions some more and determined that I probably...
I need some help trying to understand Satan's puzzle... 1968 turn signal switches. First, I need to give some background since I've got a complex situation. I'm working on my 68 Barracuda. It came with an 8 wire turn signal switch that may be bad. I currently have no working flashers or turn...
I noticed you had enough room between your gas tank and leaf springs to fit your tail pipes. That's awesome. My springs are moved in too (probably a little more than yours) and I had a devil of time getting enough clearance between the tank and the right leaf spring. Since I was replacing the...
Hemi446 I think I saw your car at Carlisle a few years ago. I thought it was very impressive. Ignore the naysayers. It's a Hemi. 130 MPH is mid-low 10 second MPH if you can get it to hook and 60'. Great job!
You are correct. That's a Stage V Rat Buster intake. It will take Edelbrocks or Holleys. The carbs are spaced further apart so they do look smaller. :)

Thanks HemiDenny. I appreciate the kind words. You are correct, the Hemi came out of my 4000lb Road Runner. I must say that I am very happy with the way the 1:1 linkage performs on the street. It is really very streetable and super easy to tune because the carbs are identical and perform the...
