  • Absolutely did not dent or ping anything. I would refuse to dent coated headers that cost close to $1000.00. I would send them back 1st.
    To me, they are the best choice out there. You just need to take your time with fitment. If they hit something, then the engine is not correct in placement, even though they give you the spec's where they want the motor to sit, you may need to tweak it a bit. remember, your working on a 40+ year old car, so who knows if it has been wrecked or not.
    Saw your reply to the 440 header question. I have used a set of CPPA headers on my 68 440 Dart, but need to get new headers. My CPPA (the precursor to the TTI) were a ***** to fit. The steering didnt clear and several places had to be pinged to fit.
    Did you have to ping certain spots to clear with the new TTI headers? Did they clear your suspension travel w/o pinging?
    Right now, I'm on the fence to get the new TTI or have some custom Stainless Steel headers made.
