At My Wits End With The Drone/Resonating!!

About an inch rear of the bumper...I've read that exiting under the car causes drone( before I installed the exhaust),so I knew that wasn't going to work for me. I didn't have the H pipe installed at first ,but installed it (after trying the 2nd set of mufflers)...still didn't help much. Dan

At My Wits End With The Drone/Resonating!!

I have Overdrive...3.23 gears would drop my rpm's too low for my liking...as it is I'm only 2300 rpm @60 mph. I like the rpm...just not the drone. As far as turning up the stereo,it would have to be pretty loud(my wife wears ear plugs when we are in the drone range). Dan

    Headers vs Hi-op manifolds

My 340 Duster has the HP manifolds on Edelbrock Performer rpm heads...be careful!! My driver-side manifold cracked at the rear as it was pressing on the head. I had to grind some of the head to get the clearance needed.... Anyone have an extra left side manifold?

70 Duster use 1 or 2 piece(front to rear) brake lines?

As stated in the title, '70 Duster with manual brakes(front KH 4piston)...both"In-Line" and "The Right Stuff Detailing" stores only show 2 piece for 1970....1971 has 1 piece line. A friend of mine says that the 1970 models built later in the model year also had 1 piece.(The 1970 Plymouth service...

How Difficult to replace Extension housing?

I spoke to Jammie @ Passon Perf. Here is how it works..I'm using the cast iron housing, short tailhousing and cluster gear shaft from the 1:1. I'm then installing all the O/D internals and a shorter O/D mainshaft(that I got from Jammie).Should be about as strong an O/D 833 as you can have. I'm...

There ARE 2 Different Types of Duster Rear Seats!

I was trying to find a rear seat(bottom) for my 70 Duster...some people say that they are all the same and some people say that the 1970 seat had a deeper front frame (that actually touched the carpet)....and the correct answer is...that the 1970 does infact have a deeper front frame! When...

The seat is snapped in place properly...fits perfect except the frame isn't close enough to the floor.

1970 Duster Rear Seat different than a 1972?

Hello...I've tryed 2 rear seat bottoms in my 1970...neither one goes close enough to the floor. There must be a 2-3" gap from the floor to the bottom of the seat bracket....(could store things under there!). You can easily see the "catch" (on the floor)where the seat snaps into. Do duster rear...
