Today is a good day for the mouser. I made body weight slash Navy measurement standards. This means that I get to continue my service in the Navy and work towards my retirement. WooHoo!!!
I got out just as women were coming on board and foresaw the problems that was going to bring with relationships and politics of the working environment. My Grandson's scoutmaster who is a Navy veteran told me about an aircraft carrier that came back from 6 mo deployment with over half the women pregnant including the CO who was married. They nicknamed it the love boat. I cannot understand how a military can function like that. Mike
Sorry about the deleted messages. I have never used this method of talking to other members and I got worried that talking about Navy stuff and what my son was doing might get him or you in trouble. I will talk to my son when I can and let you know what I can tell you. Africa is a hot spot right now because Al Chida (spelling?) is there and we have interest in some rare metals that are mined there. He is an electrical engineer and is also trained by the Seabees to be a civil engineer. But he is changing to a new command and I cannot remember what it is because I never heard of it. I spent a lot of time on the old boomers and went aboard every one on the east coast as well as west coast. Mike
Hey I see you are a Navy Submariner. I was stationed on the USS Hunley a Sub tender in Charleston and Guam. I worked on the ballistic missile subs and can appreciate what you do. I never deployed on a sub but would have nightmares of going to sea on one. Thanks for your service. My son is in the Naval Reserve and is about to be deployed to Africa of all places.
