Yes I believe so.
Several pieces internally are different
but all internals will fit.
That trans might have the HD planetaries but
I am not certain they do.
That is a stroked B engine (usually 4.25).
Myself, I have had bad luck trying to seal the aluminum
heads on an iron block. I have to use a composite gasket.
I do not know anyone else's experience.
All production 360 that I have every seen had a dished
piston and no valve reliefs. That is the only configuration
that NHRA recognizes as coming on them.
As I recall the early 318 came with a double dish piston until
sometime in the mid 70's or so.
However, I believe they still had the exact same compression
height and would not do anything to help the compression.
The part number heads I run are open chamber.
But I seem to recall somewhere around 66/67 or so,
some of the heads on the 273/318 were closed chambers.
I am not near the shop where we have 100 plus pairs of heads
and I could take a look.
Maybe someone who is more familiar with the 273/318 early...
The 318 pistons are generally 50 or 60 down
in the hole or more (Blueprint Spec is 41). Some 318 heads are closed
and some are open chamber. That low of compression would not be optimal
although it would operate OK. I would try to choose a head that was lower in CCs
if available or plan to...
Actually, the axles are forward on most of our race
cars to get the wheelbase to within 1/4 inch of the 3/4 NHRA
tolerance on the wheelbase. We roll the front end of both the
front and rear fender wells. Probably irrelevant with current technology
on the Slicks but made a difference years ago.
I have about 100 old NOS Moog Suspension parts for
A body (Out of Bob Mazzolini's Closed shop))
I have the catalog and I will look Monday if you are interested.
It will be 1/2 the price of Firmfeel. let me know if you are interested.
The 1/2 inch offset is worth the trouble for a race car where legal.
My son's bracket Duster runs a 10.5 x 30 Slick which in plenty of
tire even for a low 10 race car at most circumstances.
I used C body manifolds on my 440 in my 69 Valiant for a couple years,
I think back them = I had to angle mill the passenger side in my particular car.
