    14x8 ralley backspacing 4.63 ok?

I didnt measure but there was a good 1 1/2in room between tire and inner wheel housing clearance. The outer wheel housing clearance was a little close for comfort, but i know those wheels are what the car was running before the driver's side wheels were stolen. As long as the extra .63...

    14x8 ralley backspacing 4.63 ok?

This shows measurement from inner lip of the 14x8, 4"bs slot I have. The old tire is the same size I plan on using 225/70.

    14x8 ralley backspacing 4.63 ok?

I actually have one 14x8 slot i can put on the back tomorrow and do some measurements from. If I remember the backspace on it is 4". Maybe fhe old tire will even hold air long enough. If it makes a difference my rear end is a 741.

    14x8 ralley backspacing 4.63 ok?

I appreciate the response, and have actually considered going to 15's. But I like the 14's, and have no need to anything other than a street tire. I had several options available when I bought my last set in April. I'm just not sure on the backspacing of this wheel fitting.

    14x8 ralley backspacing 4.63 ok?

Im looking at Coker's 14x8 rallys for the rear of my 67 Barracuda. The backspacing is 4.63 and im not sure if that will fit. Has anyone tried them, or does anyone know? Thanks!

    Stumbled into it....

Slowly moving along, cam bearings were tight, got another set and the second from rear cam bearing had to be lightly honed. Got it to move smoothly by hand with the gear on the cam, and buttoned up the xe256 with the new timing set. Got new rod and main bearings and rings in and the bottom...

    Valiant wont start. Help!

If it isnt cranking I'd check wiring from ignition, and wiring between battery and starter. Sounds to me like theres a severed or grounded power wire, a ground wire which has come loose, or a bad fuse somewhere.

    Which intake?

Ive been saying TM1, but its a TM5 that's on it now. I think I've decided on the Edelbrock 7176. Between the new cam, and intake the motor should be a lot happier.

    Which intake?

Old iron seems like it might be the way to go, just feels weird switching from an Eddy aluminum to an oem. But it does sound like the 4100340/1 is a solid stock intake, and the TM1 definitely not what i need. Ive been reading back through posts and the Weiand 8022 seems highly recommended too...

    Which intake?

Thanks for the replies guys, and thanks for the info on the tranny Dano. I dont know what numbers I looked up to come up with A833, but it sounds like an A230 isnt a bad unit. What if i throw another option in the mix? Edelbrock 2176 Enough improvement over stock intake to justify a $250...

    Which intake?

New guy here, going back thru the 318 in my new 67 Barracuda. Have it torn down to theblock right now. Had an Edelbrock TM1 Tarantula on it, but i got the stock 4bl with the car. Im thinking the stock intake may be what i should put back on it. What do you guys think? 318, stock heads at...

    Stumbled into it....

Thanks everyone, i appreciate the warm welcome! Got cam bearings in, started to do main bearings, but the rear main seal I have just seems small to me. So, I've got another coming tomorrow to compare.
