I do have the Remflex gaskets for the assembly. I guess my question was more about the importance of the original "baffle" gasket use for the proper operation of the heat riser. I'm gathering that using the Remflex gasket, for proper sealing, is more important.

How does the cap come off? Does it twist off or do you unscrew the 3 allen bolts?

Greetings fellow A body hustlers. I am the happy owner of 2 A bodies. A 65 Dart 270 and a 71 Dart Swinger. The 65 has a 223 slant 6, around 23K miles and is in pretty good shape. Typical rust at the rear part of each quarter panel, behind the tyres. The interior is also in good shape but...
