    Door hinge question...

I think I understand. Is there any difference between the drivers side and the passenger side upper hinge? One appears to open further than the other. I am having a bear of a time getting these doors lined up. This is definately NOT a one man job. I guess I will have to ask my neighbor for some...

    Door hinge question...

I bought some reconditioned hinges from a gentleman on this website and I fear I may have gotten them mixed up, even though I tried my hardest to not do that. Anyway, does the passenger side upper hinge have a large "P" stamped on it? I was thinking that would mean "PASSENGER" side of the car...

    Another will they fit?

That should fit. I just put 15x7 with 4" back spacing with P255/60/15 on my 68 dart with the small bolt pattern. Only had to trim about 3/8" from the lip. You're fine I think.

    Everything works but the headlights.

Thanks guys, it WAS the dimmer switch. I could kick myself that I didn't think of that. A $6 part after spending aout 6 hours looking for a short circuit....dang!!!

Where can I get power for aux gauges lights?

I am rebuilding a 68 Dart and I added a water temp/oil pressure gauge package. I want the gauge lights to light up when the headlights are on but my fuse block has no "accesory" terminals like other cars have. Can I splice into the parking lamps wire or is there a better/safer way? Thanks... john

    Headlight Switch/Knob Removal

I did this repair this past weekend. The idea above about "the button" is correct. However, the bezel that you have to unscrew in order for the switch to come out can be tricky. On my 68 Dart, there are some knotches around the shaft that I was able to put a fine regular screwdriver into and tap...

    Everything works but the headlights.

Thanks 67DART273, I appreciate it. Like I said before, I put the new switch in over the weekend and it didn't help. The dimmer on the floor sounds like the likely culprit. Thanks... john

    Everything works but the headlights.

Thanks BCSCHIEF. I forgot to mention that I did get a new headlight switch and headlight bulbs. I did not think to check the dimmer switch on the floor. That is a very logical idea. Thanks... john

    Everything works but the headlights.

I have a 68 Dart, slant six, automatic that I am rebuilding. When I look at the wiring under the dash and in the engine compartment, I cannot believe this car is 45 years old. The wiring looks really good. Anyway, I got a new battery, all new bulbs, etc. and everything is working perfectly...

    Wheel Vintiques Problems

Yea, I bet. Those are Centerlines. That wheel is so popular that Summit probably has a whole building just for Centerlines. Mine were steel reproduction wheels.

    68 Dart Hinge Question

I bought some refurbished hinges for my Dart from a gentleman on this website, and they look great, however, I just noticed that the top bolts of the hinge on the body is, apparentenly, only accesible from underneath the dash. Any hints or tricks on doing this chore? Thanks, John

    Headlights and hazard blinkers problem

I have a 68 Dart. I just replaced all the fuses in the fuse block and every light bulb in the car. When I turn on the headlights, all the parking lamps light up fine, but the headlights do not. Also, my blinkers work perfectly, but when I brake, they stop blinking. Also, my hazards do not blink...
