floor jack converter for fitting on a tranny

My dad showed me the wisdom of raising the rear of the car instead of the front when doing tranny work and I am surprised that most people don't do it that way. that being said I had the floorjack mounted transmission adaptor with side and center cranks for tilting, and binding chains to keep it...

So where are these 500, 1966 Barracudas?

This what I want to build out of my '66 cuda. I knew that they werre road raced but I never knew about the GT. Way cool info. We have a local road course nearby and it is open to non members once or twice a year. I am using an aluminum bumper from unknown origin (looks good tho!) and valiant...

So where are these 500, 1966 Barracudas?

there is a write up on the 273 commando in HotRod magazine. it gave demensions for header length (unequal), dia, etc. The article stressed street performance over drag racing. I still have the mag, I'll see if I can find it. It has the commando engine on the cover

    Tightest Most Cramped Mopar Shops

I just built a 32' x 48' w/12' walls, got the shell up, dirt floor, ext cord lights & power. Just in time for my 50th bday. within 4 months I got divorced (not because of shop! :)), got in a bike crash, lost the place. cudas and hemis and other goodies went back under tarps and into old buses...

Header issues for early A V8!

I did that on first test run of my 66 fish when I was 15. motor mount broke while getting on it and torqued enough for front yoke to slip out and stab the road. fortunately was on gravel road! the teenage learning curve! gotta love it

66 cuda. automatic. I have a couple of punched out 318s, one of which might go back into it. I intend to build it along the lines of an AAR, road racer. Aluminum front bumper. I have had a 70 superbee hood skin grafted onto the fish hood frame. looks like it is on steroids already. want to bulge...

    Will a 76 v8 k-member work on my 66?

I didn't know that you couldn't swap the later K into an early one when I was 16, so I did it. A 69 cuda K member is still in my '66. I did have to spread the rails about 3/4" total. the original was bent on bottom where previoous owner hit a stump. I got a florida airtemp cuda in michigan for...

Looks like I'm gonna like it here. I have been into a-bodies forever. I have a 66 cuda or three, an A-100 pickup and an A-100 8dr van. Thanks for letting me in, seems like a cool site. Junkfisher (I had a junkyard and I love my little fish=junkfisher)
