YES! THIS RIGHT HERE. STEVE STANTON has nothing to do with anything. My mistake.
I just
Listened to the Lars Larson Sitton interview again. Sitton stated himself later in the interview that he bought it from STEVE STANLEY.
Thanks for the catch.
It's buried in that long Yellowbullet thread, but I read that according to Sitton he purchased the car from someone named Steve Stanton for 5K with only a bill of sale.

Yes I am kinda stuck on the whole 318 thing. 8)
Why?? Because I like the underdog and I aint' looking to set the track on fire.
All my buddies are doubting the "teen" too, just gives me more drive to make it happen.
But I may just end up with blown head gaskets and melted pistons...
:read2: Well I have been digging around the internet and have been researching turbocharging and I think I am going to go with a single blow-though turbo on the stock internals 318 I have in the car now and learn a few things about tuning. Its gonna be alot of fun or a huge disapointment...

A-body spring perches are 43 inches apart. Early B-body spring perches are 44 inches apart. the springs will easily flex out the 1/2 required on each side.
My stock...
I got a line on a 340 short block. Talked to the owner and he suggested some breathed on 360 smog heads. It has a forged crank, Cat H beam rods and .030 over TRW forged piston sitting prone, (I forget exactly how much)
How about some ideas on a 340 that will get me some 12.50's ...
