I'm running TTI's. Very nice tight fit and works ok with the stock clutch linkage. They seal really nice and they sit high up and I haven't dragged them yet.
The only down side is the expensive mini starter if you are going to run the 10.5 flywheel, but when you have a ton of money in the car...
Yes you will need the correct motor mount for an early A to a 340. It does work best if you can get some early A pedals from a donor. The trans cross member should work ok but you will need a drop center link.

I did have a 340/727 in my 65 Barracuda (now a mag360 4sp) and yes it is a very tight fit and engine placement is very critical. And as mentioned you must cut the bolt head down that hold the oil filter adapter in place. Also I had to use the after market mini starter to clear the drivers side...
If you upgrade to 10" drum spindles you can use this kit. Works well with 14" steel wheels and 14" ralley wheels.

I used the Percy's wheel rite to get my wheels centered in the wheel with no rubbing. It does take a bit of time to set up a simulated tire on it and then set up the back space but worth the time. I did not mini tub but did move my springs inboard. my rear rims are +24mm with a 5.95 back space...
