I worked at a scrap yard for 18 years and went down there to see if anything was even close. All were the wire/rod type. Glad I was able to find one. Paid out the nose for it though

That’s the one! A guy on here found one on eBay so I ordered it this morning. I guess cudas had the same one in 69. Very tough to find. Might see if I can make a few so it someone ever runs in to the same problem

The catch looks like it should mount to the dash frame and the the latch is push button
