Thank you so much!! I’ll get it ordered
I agree! Just wasn’t sure what should be there cause it’s been missing since my dad had it. I couldn’t even find a picture of what it looked like.Myself, this would have been an opportunity to flex my fabrication skills...
Especially being inside the club box...
Of course, unless I was planning on taking it to pebble beach for a car show that required something like that...
Shoot I might make a few . Thank you again for all your help! Such a piddly little part. Can’t wait to have the door not flop aroundIt seems like such a someone part that the aftermarket would make it.
I had the other kind of latch on my duster, the one that you don't have that grabs something and I made it out of a coat hanger wire where I curled the the two ends for the screws and made it the right length after a couple tries... i actually made it a little big, so the glove box door would hang open a half inch, as that's where I had my msd box and my msd start/retard, switch for nitrous... i figured that would let air circulate in and out, so the box wouldn't get hot...I agree! That’s the one! A guy on here found one on eBay so I ordered it this morning. I guess cudas had the same one in 69. Very tough to find. Might see if I can make a few so it someone ever runs in to the same problemHere's a picture of the door/latch/striker that I bought for my 68 Dart.

I worked at a scrap yard for 18 years and went down there to see if anything was even close. All were the wire/rod type. Glad I was able to find one. Paid out the nose for it thoughI had the other kind of latch on my duster, the one that you don't have that grabs something and I made it out of a coat hanger wire where I curled the the two ends for the screws and made it the right length after a couple tries... i actually made it a little big, so the glove box door would hang open a half inch, as that's where I had my msd box and my msd start/retard, switch for nitrous... i figured that would let air circulate in and out, so the box wouldn't get hot...
I eventually found the correct one, but, I never did use it..
Once in a lifetime purchase. Glad I was able to find one. Paid out the nose for it though
