i measured base circle at 35 mm and max lift of 41.5 to 42 mm leaves 7 mm difference to inches =.275 x 1.6 = 440 lift stock cam is 432 I think 360 cam is 410. from specs i've seen . cam came out of 318 motor , I still have motor and still not in lol

Thats cool,takes time to get it together. save your shims when you take it apart , I used a setup from a dakota but used everything. and you will need some tools to set it up , really need the manual, but a lot of fun when your done lots of great help here. good luck.

I though about HYdraulik too , A set up from a dakota might work , but went for stock because I wanted to make it work. lots of great advice and help from everyone here helped.

That one looks like the Dakota style that would have had anABS tone ring on it.works fine. most Dakotas with suregrip had 355 gears just check for housing fit may need clearance check. had to grind my case a little

All fixed. Had to pull trans because of lakewood bell no access to get fork and release bearing together. Good thing I did , found flywheel had lots of cracks , clutch disc was ok but had a weird wear pattern as well. Biggest issue I found was crank bushing was all chewed up, I cut out old one...

Thanks Proffesor, definately a cast crank 1973 340. front balacer also the has the cast crank only on it . as this one has lots of cracks and doesn't match the diagram you sent for 33/64 drill spot , think I will just order one from brewers, that way I know its right.
