Thanks guys, I just got the car back from the shop and after 3K Im content to enjoy it for now. Bty what do decent mechanic / restoration shops normally charge per hour ?

I was told the engine was rebuilt....the transmission however, i think needs a rebuild. What direction should I go with that. It slipped out up first a couple times on the way home.

Hey everyone, After purchasing my first classic MOPAR, '73 Cuda 340. I took it to a local restoration shop to have it looked at after I drove it almost 1300 miles home. The guys at the shop are replacing some gaskets, oil pan, tank, headers and some other minor stuff to keep me on the road...

Thanks guys , I ended up getting it for 20k . Maybe a bit high but I know I won't see another around my town. There was some bondo and I've already bought a new set of headers. I drove the car 1300 miles home! I did burn a lot of oil and 1 gear has poped out a couple times...where should I go...
