I'm thinking that is what I will have to do. If you lay the core flat the tubes go off at an angle away from the core rather than going straight up, at close to a right angle. Any way at least I'm not the only one having this problem. Thanks for the heads up. Morty

Bought new heater core from 2 different parts houses and neither fit? The tubes on the 1974 core that I took out come with an upward angle for a good fit. The after market cores have a 90 degree tube angle. This would be fine if it was a square fit but mine is not. Am I going to have to bend...

Yes they have 2 pieces that look like felt with a tube on the edge,but they are not the rubber weatherstripping that goes on the front and rear. These are totaly shot. Have to come up with new ones. Looks like there is a type of welt that goes around the inside lip. Thanks for the help. Mort

Found supplier for 2 pieces of stripping for sunroof, but will also need the rubber parts. Does anybody know where these can be purchased. Would be great if you could buy a kit with all of it together. Any leads out there? Morty
