Thanks so much for your offer...have several of the 14 x 4.5 rims to choose from...just refinishing the rallye wheels now to get them ready for new rubber. Cuda 340, mine is the original carpeting with the thick backing .....I agree it might be unlikely that it lays completely flat with the 185...

I'll use the 14x 4.5 inch stock rim for the spare and will leave the 5.5 rallyes on the corners!

Thanks to everyone for their time and information.....from the look of the pictures there appears to be room for the diameter of the 185/75/14 tire.....that is good...didn't want to have the spare sitting on top of the carpet.....looks like I might have a bump to deal with when it is all in place.

Thank you for your information....the 175/65/14 is 23 inches in diameter and 6.9 inches tall/wide...the 185/75/14 is 24.9 inches in diameter and 7.3 inches wide/tall.....looks like if there is an extra inch room diameter wise around the whole tire it should fit......does your tire sit well below...

Did so but received conflicting advice.... for example one thread spoke about a general rule of thumb of a tire width being no more than 2 inches more than the width of the rim. Other sites disagree with this ratio. Others suggest that 185/75r/14 will fit on a 4.5 but anything wider should be on...

Hello all...might be a simple question but as I am looking into upsizing my 13 inch rims to 14 inch ones, I thought I'd ask the following: I have a set of SBP x 4.5 steelies and a set of SBP 14 x 5.5 rally wheels. I am trying to decide whether to go with 185/75r/14 inch tires or 205/70r/14...

Good morning and Happy New Year.....it seems that the the left side lug nuts and studs have been replaced to regular righty tightie ones on my dad's 1964 Barracuda....these after market nuts themselves do not seem to be seating correctly and have caused some marking of the original 13 inch rim...
