Absolutely. But I did get hold of a window sticker here for a car that says "M" code and has the following codes:
A13 DART SPECIAL 440
E86 440 CID ENGINE
Y39 SPECIAL ORDER
The closest I have come to factory documentation yet :)
That would be great!
I just got a copy of an original M code window sticker showing the 440 engine option.
Would still like to find something from Dodge informing dealers that the cars were available to order but everything helps :)
Hi!
To get my Dart licensed here in Norway I need factory documentation that 1969 Darts were available with the 440 engine.
As the M code option was a mid year introduction it is not mentioned in any sales literature, ads or service manuals.
The GTS 440 cars could be ordered through any dealer...
I'm searching for a nice set of '67 Dart trunk moldings.
The ones that go between the tail lights on 270s and GTs, 4 in total (don't need the GT tail panel).
I live in Norway, Europe so will have to be shipped.
Send me a message if you have some :)
If you have an all stock slant six Duster with stock wheels I would use 1" hub centric spacers on the rear. The screw on type, like an adapter but with the same bolt pattern both ways.
1" may not seem like much but it widens the track 2" and makes the car look better but still factory. Any more...
A lot of confusion regarding width and backspace is caused by the fact that wheel width is measured inside the bead/tire mounting surface and backspace is measured at the outer most part of the wheel. Strange really..
A 5.5" wheel is almost 6.5" measured at the outer perimeters.
One would think...
Do you have one for sale?
I'd say price for a nice wheel depends very much on year, model, color etc.
But then I'm looking for a steering wheel, not asking what to pay for one ;)
I am looking for a really nice original steering wheel for my Dart.
Condition is more important than the exact type of center etc.
Preferably tan or brown but black will do.
Anders, Norway
Looking for a really nice all original 67-72 Valiant.
Preferably unrestored low mileage vehicle with slant six.
Something like the one pictured (which is for sale on Autotrader in NC but I can't get hold of the owner..)
67-69 Dart sedan in same condition may also be of interest.
Grateful for all...
No cars were ever delivered with 15" wheels in the small (5x4") pattern.
The only cars to use this bolt pattern were the A-bodies and they never got 15" wheels (on street cars anyway). The 15" SBP wheels you see on the market are either aftermarket or home made by putting A-body centers in 15"...
Wow! Really starting to look like a (nos) car!
I was going to say keep it up, but actually I think you need to slow down a bit. What are we going to check in on every day when you're done?
I came to think of you when I saw this nos 13" sbp Cragar.
Hard to say how old it is but I would assume they didn't make the 13" version for a very long time...
