If you decide to replace the tank, keep the old sending unit and clean it up and add a new plastic float to it. I have had nothing but issues with replacement senders not reading accurately. I just keep the old sending units anymore and clean them up and replace the floats with plastic ones...
I agree with the aftermarket front drum ! Had a 383 nitrous Motor in a 67 Valiant and the transmission got weird on me shifting funky and slipping . Long story short the front drum was cracked on the back side all the way around with maybe 1-2" holding it together .No stock front drums for me...
