Hi all So for you guys who have done modern Hemi swaps I have a question -- Have you had any issues with cold start piston slap noise in stock Hemi engines? I own a 2012 Ram with the 5.7 hemi...owned since new....and since about 3-4k miles it started making a loud "diesel like" low end...

Hi and thanks. Yeah, we did use those bolts. At the factory they actually used a special lift plate with two holes...one for the engine without the trans on it and one with, and got the right balance front to rear I am told. We didn't have the plate so just used chains attached to a tilt...

No expert but that looks right to me based on our current project......when the spring heats up the flapper should direct the exhaust flowdown and out.....cold, its "vertical", directing exhaust up into the hot box. did you replace your spring or refurbish what you have? Ours broke and...

On this same topic, we found the plug on ours somewhat hosed......I used a thread chaser kit and that went ok but I dont have a new stock plug to try......the threads are cut but they also seem a little flattened out......thing I should go bogger then?

Looking for a complete Super 6 setup.....manifolds, bracketry, linkages and carb that will work on my 1980, so I need one from that timeframe. Needs to be within driving distance of Pittsburgh.

Yep...we used the center bolt from a puller and we pulled the plugs......easy as pie!

I bought some bolts and washers this morning for lifting....they had some heavy angle iron at the hardware store I almost bought to make my own lift "plate" but decided that since others used just the bolts I should be OK.....crossing fingers. LOL Right now working on getting the clips for...

Thanks......so ypu suggest leaving the manifolds on for the lifting? Also, I am borrowing an engine crane but buying an engine stand at harbor freight. I was gonna go for the heavy-duty one with the two legs out the front. I am also thinking about buying their "load leveler".......since I will...
