I got my hands on the steering coupler updated rubber cover instead of the metal cover with the tabs you pean over, my header tubes are 1/4" away if I run this without the hose clamp, I didn't know if they were a silicon type , I'll need to update with a photo shortly

I just received the 20492 pitman arm which shows part number for a 68-69 383. It appears to be about 1/2" shorter so it should help my centerlink angle but it is slightly too large for my steering box Which is s 68 225/6 Manuel box, Did the 383 cars use a different steering box with A larger...
