I test drove my car with just the open headers and no exhaust and I am going to drive it 16 miles to the muffler shop on Tuesday. I dread the trip, it sounds ungodly and the sound resonates all through the cabin. I can't imagine having to drive every day like this! Your ears are taking some...
My Hooker headers slid right in place with the car flat on the ground. The only interference I encountered were with the trans cooler lines and I just had to bend them a tiny bit (the cooler lines not the headers) to gain some clearance. The headers went on dent and scratch free. Plus there is...
I'm running the Hooker Super Comps as well. As far as I know they are the only tuned headers available for the Slant 6 still in production. That being said they are also the only ones with the ability to build power instead of just freeing up power by reducing restriction like the Clifford...
The only bad thing I've heard about those tires is they have excessive road noise. Of course with an old car with loud pipes this probably won't bother you. Other than that people seem really pleased with them. Just don't expect ultra long life out of any high performance tire but I'm sure you...
If anybody is looking for a higher quality set of headers than the stuff that is available today then you owe it to yourself to check these out! I wish they had been on eBay a month earlier, before I bought my Hooker Super Comps & took them to Jet-Hot to be coated @^&#!!!
Hooker Headers...

I'm working on my '72 Swinger Special with a 225 Slant 6 and 904 Torque-Flite transmission. Right now I'm mainly gathering the parts but I have done a couple of things. First I removed the stock fan, which was a 4 blade fan bolted solid to the water pump, (as in no fan clutch). I replaced it...
All the links worked fine for me. Just clicked on them and a new tab opened right up... That is an oddball car for sure. Looks like it would take a ton of work but it could be a worthwhile project for the right person.
Sweet Ride. I sure hope you haven't attempted to tow the 8000 lb you claim you can with it though. Towing 8000 lb with a 3000 lb short wheel base unibody car is a recipe for disaster, frame connectors or not! I just would hate to see that beautiful ride pushed into a transfer truck or something...
