Have a 69 barracuda originally a 318 car. Now has a 440 installed. Going to purchase a new m&h engine/forward light harness and want to verify all the differences between a small block/big block harness. Only thing i can think of the distributor and the temp sensor wiring being different...
just wanted to verify the correct location to install the oiling hole in the tailshaft bushing in the housing? 12 oclock or at 4 oclock in the v-channel? For the a A-833. FSM states align oil hole with oil slot in housing no diagram. Quick internet search shows people installing both ways...
Prior to his work with WJ, Greg was a crew chief for Mopar Racer John Hagen so it is possible he was in attendance for Carlton's accident.
He didn't work on the Missle Crew.
I'm in
I have wanted a SS barracuda since I was 13. I have been working on my own as raced day 2 clone for over 10yrs. I wanted to do a vintage paint scheme and all just like the Tom Myl car Bucky and Travis are painting. Some day I will finish it.....
I have the book. Just dug it out - nice shape just one corner bent a little - It is even autographed by Don
I cannot remember what I paid but I am open to offers if you can use it!
If fuse pops immediately check for debris in impeller, cut wire or shorted motor winding
If pump runs for awhile then pops I suspect pump bearings or brushes going bad
skypower - check your engine location before you modify anything
All these are to the center of the crank - I looked at a bunch of cars over the years - before repro parts were available and all of them are different - you just kinda wiggle everything around until it fits best - as you know...
I had to cut and modify 3 tubes (Hedmans) and shorten a couple of the suspension studs for clearance on my A-body
Look like you may be able to shim the motor up a bit to help your clearance ?
I am using a MP crossram - so I ended up adjusting my motor height - added 1" to a glasstech scoop...
I have a couple of 833's that I need to freshen up - Looking for recommendations on a good pair (set) of snap ring pliers and lock ring pliers that will get it done
Thanks
Anyone know if 3" TTI tailpipes will fit A bodies with the MP offset spring kit ?
This is the bolt in offset kit (1.5") NOT the inboard spring kit that is cut into the frame rails
This would be for a 69 Barracuda - stock gas tank
Thank You
Thanks guys - I can't change the pivot location on the bellhousing as the torque shaft is straight and level in the car now (as it should be)
The fork pivot bracket inside the bellhousing and the clutch fork are correct - purchased everything from brewers - not knocking there products at all...
I have a 1.25" height difference between lower z-bar pivot and the clutch fork - A-body with a 2 piece Lakewood scattershield - all clutch parts are correct ( z-bar, brackets and fork) from Brewers
Z-bar is level in car and parallel to the frame - I have seen many BB A-body with the z-bars...
