Friend inherited a bunch of Mopar parts in Minnesota

Appreciate everybody's comments and eyeballs. I'm happy to help set up a sale of the lot to somebody reputable (just not wanting anybody shady/creepy at his mom's house), the only thing I'm eyeing for myself is the 400 block and the engine rotisserie stand but happy to let basically everything...

Friend inherited a bunch of Mopar parts in Minnesota

Hi all, A good friend of mine's dad was a big classic Mopar fan and drag racer for a number of years. He sadly passed away about two years ago and now my friend's mom is ready to clean out the garage space (they already sold the remaining drag car to a cousin) especially since cars aren't my...

[WANTED] 9" rear drum parking brake strut and lever

Yep those are the ones (at least based on the diagrams lol). I still have no idea where the original ones went but it's been an adventure trying to buy/find them.

[WANTED] 9" rear drum parking brake strut and lever

Hi all, rebuilding my 1970 Dart Swinger 9" rear drum brakes (drums all the way around). I can't find the parking brake strut or lever, for 9" brakes, anywhere. No idea where the parts that were supposed to be in the car went (first time the drums were touched since I bought the car). I've tried...

    Original rear drum rebuild kits/source?

Cool, appreciate everyone's help, I'm trying to make a push to get this all wrapped up and driveable as the weather gets warmer!

    Original rear drum rebuild kits/source?

Hi all, in my never ending quest to get all 198CI of Detroit muscle back on the mean streets of St. Paul, MN I'm trying to finish the brake overhaul on my 70 Dart. The fronts are being converted to discs and I'm running new brake lines (and a new M/C) but also realized that the rear drums (10")...

Twin Cities area cry for help (slant six/carb)

Hi all, I'd posted on here previously about my problems with getting a carb (holley 1920 single barrel, just rebuilt by a local carb shop) to work on my 70 Dart Swinger 198 Slant Six. I also posted a video on a FB Slant Six group to see if there was anything obvious we were missing (have decent...

    70 198, Holley 1920 Singlebrl connections

Appreciate the help for sure, I feel like one of the throttle linkages got a bit out of whack so this will help me take a closer look.

    70 198, Holley 1920 Singlebrl connections

Hi all, I recently had my Holley 1920 single carb rebuilt and while I took some pics of the original set up, I somehow missed the angles that would have been more helpful. Does anybody have pics of a similar set up (70 Dart Swinger, 198 slant - Holley 1920 single barrel) for reference...

    Disc brake conversion (70 Dart)

The Wilwood kits I'm seeing are definitely more expensive than what you're showing (in the 900 range), not sure if it was a short duration sale or something but I thought I checked their site around the 4th to see if they were running any specials.

    Disc brake conversion (70 Dart)

Thanks, I'm leaning toward Dr. Diff after looking at a number of different options and hoping to give them a call on Monday to do a sanity check to make sure I'm not forgetting anything obvious. At least for right now it feels like overkill to pay the money for Wilwood especially given both sets...

    Disc brake conversion (70 Dart)

Oh trust me, I NEVER forget the decal! I might even ask for two, to double the gains!

    Disc brake conversion (70 Dart)

So it sounds like the basic paths are: 1) Rebuild with the parts I have (namely the spindles, using the rest as cores or throwaways) and then ordering new rotors/pads/bearings/tapered ball joint adapaters to match. Possible downside being using old tech for braking. 2) Ditch everything and...
